Authorities were looking for the Texas man identified as Francisco Oropeza 38-year-old who fatally shot five of his next-door neighbors, including an 8-year-old child, when one asked him to stop firing rounds in his yard last week.
Friday. around 11:30 Pm Oropesa went to the home in the Trails End area in Cleveland armed with a black AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and opened fire, according to San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office.
12 News reported that On Sunday, the victims were identified as Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25, her eight-year-old son Daniel Enrique Laso, Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21, Julisa Molina Rivera, 31, and Josué Jonatán Cáceres, 18. Several children were at the home when Oropesa brutally killed his neighbor.
Sheriff Greg Capers said at a news conference that the Texas man responsible for the crime could still be anywhere now.
Also, On Saturday authorities believed that the suspect is still within a 2-mile or so search area but said later he may have slipped past it after they found his cell phone and clothing.
Authorities Are Offering $80,000 Reward To Anyone Who Can Give Information About The Suspect
The Independent news report said that a special agent in charge of the FBI’s Houston-area office James Smith is asking the public to call 911 directly if they spot the suspect out there.
$50,000 reward money from the state of Texas and Multi-County Crime Stoppers, a local nonprofit organization, is offering $5,000 more. The FBI is offering another $25,000, a total of $80,000 Smith said.
Smith said Sunday that authorities are “running into dead ends” as he demanded the public to share any relevant information.
“Right now, we have zero leads of him,” he added.
